This apochromat has everything required to make any astrophotographer’s heart race – and for a reasonable price.
The three-element construction from special FCD-1-ED glass by Hoya, Japan, and two air gaps create a corrector which is considerably higher quality than two-element ED apochromats available in this price range. A calculated polystrehl value of over 0.9 produces a much clearer image than the 0.8 which can be obtained using two lenses. This outstanding image performance, combined with a sturdy mechanism, creates a package which leaves nothing to be desired.
An optional field flattener accessory for photography is also available – this means the instrument can be used for photography with no restrictions. The tube length has been optimised so that accessories with critical focal positions can also be used.
