Tecnosky 80/480 mm FPL53 Apochromat – OWL Series
This apochromatic refractor features a triplet objective with central Ohara FPL53 fluoride glass element. All lenses are blackened at the edges and FMC coated. The supplied optical measurement report shows a Strehl of min. 0.95!
The aluminum tube is equipped with lens hoods. The retractable dew shield makes the apo very transportable and even has room in airplane luggage.
The generously sized focuser illuminates full-frame cameras and allows precise focusing with 1:10 dual speed. The integrated field rotator allows the camera to be rotated to the desired orientation for best framing. The 2″ and 1.25″ accessories are clamped gently. In addition, the focuser offers an auxiliary thread for screw adaptations.
Included is a dovetail bar (Vixen style). Other dovetailss can be connected. A carrying handle allows convenient transport and also mounting of accessories such as guiding scopes.
For photographic use, Tecnosky offers an optional 0.8x flattener/reducer that gives the apochromat a fast focal ratio of f/4.8.
The generously sized drawtube illuminates full-frame cameras and provides precise focusing with 1:10 reduction. Using the integrated field rotator, the camera can be rotated into the desired position in order to find the best field of view. The focuser takes 2” attachments using a self-centering locking system. The same system is also built into the adapter for 1.25” attachments. This means that accessories can be clamped in the precise centre, even when wearing thick gloves!
The newly-designed pipe brackets allow the use of Vixen- and Losmandy-style prism rails. A comfortable grip, ideally suited to attaching additional accessories, such as guidescopes, is located above the rings.
For photographic use, Tecnosky offers an optional 0.8x flattener/reducer, with which the apochromat can achieve a fast aperture ratio of f/4.8.
