The handy Mono 3×12 monocular, also used as an attachment for almost all ZEISS Victory and Conquest model binoculars, provides you with 3X magnification instantly available from your pocket, and without having had to dig deep into your pocket first!
The monocular has 3X magnification and a large field of view for viewing distant details. But it is also handy when used as a magnifying glass, allowing flowers or insects to be viewed from only 20cm away, or for reading timetables or price tags. It is used as a ‘booster’ for many ZEISS binoculars for increasing the normal binocular magnification by a factor of 3.
For example, an 8X magnification becomes 24X! Of course, the instrument is also extremely useful when used on its own as a 3×12 pocket monocular or as a magnifying glass for close work.
